Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) has become a member of the Association of Power Exchanges (APEX).

APEX was formed to facilitate the development and communication of ideas and practices in the operation of global competitive electricity markets. With annual conferences since 2003, its primary intention is to provide a platform for effective exchange of information and experience between its members.

Currently APEX has 47 members which are energy exchanges, market and system operators, regulatory authorities and clearing organizations from different countries all around the globe.

EXIST-applied for the membership on the 8th of September, 2016- meets the following criteria laid out by APEX “a party who engages in an electricity or gas power exchange” and “a party who operates an exchange for trading financial instruments related to electricity or gas trading”; is entitled to be a full member and the Board of APEX approved the membership during the recent meeting on  September 13, 2016.
