The delegation composed of Amani Al Azzam, Jordan Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, and Mr. Ahmad Al-Zoubi, Secretary General of the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) visited the EPİAŞ.

Avni Çebi, Director of Strategy Development of EPIAS made a presentation on the business activities of EPIAS.

After the presentation, Azzam has stated that Jordan has not settled the market structure in electricity sector yet and such as generation and transmission activities have realized within the Ministry.

Referring to Jordan’s 600 MW renewable, 4.000 MW installed power capacity, including 4.000 MW other energy sources, Azzam said, “Renewable investments will continue to increase. In addition, we will pass on a number of projects in the storage to remove the system imbalances caused by renewable energy. ”

 Amani Al Azzam: “As in Turkey, Jordan is depend on outsourced in energy. We procure a large part of our energy from natural gas conversion power plants. ”

Fatih Dönmez, Undersecretary of Turkish Republic Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Chairman of the Board of EPİAŞ stated his pleasure on visit and mentioned that we EPİAŞ is ready for cooperation.

Mustafa Kayırıcı, General Manager of EPIAS: ”In the meantime, we have a flexible and development-friendly working environment with Intra Day and Day Ahead Market software developed by our domestic resources, which has a useful interface design for market participants. ”  Kayırıcı stated that EPİAŞ is ready to share the savings in this subject with Jordan.
