EIC Structure

  • The 2-characters identifying the LIO, as assigned by the CIO
  • One character identifying the object type that the EIC code represents (X: Party, Y: Area, Z: Measurement Point, W: Resource Object, T: Tie-line, V: Location, A: Substations)
  • 12 digits, uppercase characters or minus signs allocated by the LIO in compliance with general and local rules to identify the object in question (party, measurement point, area, etc.)
  • 1 check character based on the 15 previous characters used to ensure the validity of the EIC code
